Introduction

The Brickley Engine is a cutting edge approach to engine design aimed at significantly reducing engine friction. Reduction of friction in an internal combustion engine has the potential of increasing fuel efficiency and lowering green house gas emissions by 20%. The patented Brickley Engine configuration focuses on achieving this result by virtue of lessening the distances traveled at the loaded areas where oil is being sheared. The configuration is applicable to both spark ignition and diesel engines.  Preliminary test results show that the Brickley Engine will eliminate over one half of the friction of  a typical engine.
